Michigan International Speedway, Race, Starting from last position and finish in pole position, 100% Opponent strenght, Joystick used “CH Combatstick”

IndyCar Racing is Papyrus’ second racing game, four years after the release of Indianapolis 500. With an official license, all the real track names and designs are available (eight in total), with authentic sponsors and logos. Other features include multiple TV-type replays, a comprehensive garage and setup routine and breakaway parts when making contact with other cars. This is a pure open-wheel simulation, based on the American races, with realistic car handling and room for racing techniques based on grip, ideal racing lines, and throttle-to-brake interaction.

The like you got on this video was 43 seconds in, and it's purely because you just hit all the nostalgia buttons. I remember cutting that music off, though lol

Man I loved the playing this game, and the second one… Going to Michigan and watching them race then being able to play it was awesome.. I did a full 500 mile race and blew a tire on the last lap when I was in P1 .. I was so upset lol… What are you using to play it now?

The riff starting at 0:07 has been bouncing around in my head for decades, surfacing on rare occasions when least expected. I've forgotten a fair bit of it. Thank you for posting!

I think this was the first game I bought for myself. When I got my first decent computer, I mean. Played it for countless hours too. I mean, right after I did my homework from school 🙂

Great game. I played for countless hours. I remember overlapping the 2nd in some track where I had an incredible setup (I don´t remember which one was it now). But I always wondered what are those "F" "R" "B" levers on the left. They affect the steering and ability to corner somehow. Just don´t know exactly how. They should mean "front", "rear", "balance" ? The keys next to the "enter" enable the adjustment. What´s it suppose to really do ?

Back when I played this, the buick engine would always blow in 10 seconds. Anyone know how to prevent this?

We've come a long way. I remember playing this on a 15 inch monitor. Now I race Indycars on iRacing with my Oculus Rift and OSW Mige wheel. Incredible.
