July 10, 2020I'm feeling like that right now.. I have lots of games to play on my switch's backlog but don't feel like playing anything.. Every time I turn my Switch on I just don't feel like playing anything and at the same time I feel tempted to buy new games.. I think I might need help

July 10, 2020I get this every few months. Been a gamer for 20+ years but now I just find everything boring and constantly looking for that next big game

July 10, 2020Dude. You nailed it. Past few weeks I boot up the PS4…scroll through my collection, look at my hard copies…sign into the PS store….then turn it off…
Then look at my backlog for ps3 in a similar fashion. After 25 minutes of staring…just power down and try it again…

July 10, 2020This is a year old vid but fuck man, for a few years now yeah i think im fatigued, i mean i love these games and whats coming out but even just me personally i just.. I dont know, id start a game ive been waiting for years and get bored in just a couple hours, i dont know if its just rehash of the same shit or maybe its just not interesting enough and maybe im just disappointed but its been so many games now that im barely finishing any of them, i love video games, im a huge advocate for videogames personally and shit even in todays bs political climate i would push them politically, they've done alot for me over the years and through childhood, my favorite movie right now is Steven Spielberg's ready player one just for the simple fact because it felt like he actually got it, the gaming community as a whole regardless of the books accuracy, im passionate about videogames and hate business men getting involved in our market, i even love my community and yes ive had my rivalries over games and shit but id tell you if i met them in person honestly id just want to chill and see what else we can get into, i dont know if its gamer fatigue or whatever the fuck, ive just been feeling depressed and unable to finish my games even when i want to and have no problem doing so, i just feel like "is this all of it?" Everytime, it just doesn't feel the same, maybe im just desiring more or something but something just feels different now then when i played games like dungeon keeper 2 or croc or soul reaver, i feel like im in a rut and im really trying to get out of it
Btw my work shedules dont help either, i spent 4 years in the oilfields working hdd on the pipeline and currently right now for personal reasons im in retail reset shit for krogers, so dont think my personal time has to do with it, ive been in both less and more sides of work balance and still feel the same, im a roughneck for fucks sake and still want to enjoy my games

July 10, 2020So my backlog is ridiculously long because I gameshare, so I'm not the only one adding new titles to my library of games. That being said, I've probably bought 15 games in the last 3 months and have seriously not touched on most of them, I have a problem.

July 10, 2020Maybe he's thinking that he's wasting his life playing video games.

July 10, 2020Unfortunately, I'm currently in the midst of gaming fatigue. BUT once Red Dead 2 comes out, I'm getting the hell outta it!

July 10, 2020I have such a large backlog too trying to fit so many games in between a 40 hour work week. More than a few hours in Stardew Valley, Tales of Berseria, Salt & Sanctuary, Hyper Light Drifter, Dead Cells, and so on. But they can wait since Spider-Man is THE B E S T.

July 10, 2020I recently bought a Switch with a bunch of games for it and all I've really played on it is Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate. I have already put thousands of hours into the Monster Hunter series, you'd think I'd get sick of it by now, but nope. Sometimes I look at my other Switch games, but I'm just not really in the mood to try them yet. But I know I will be, eventually.
I spent about a year trying to keep up with weekly airing anime, with a goal of consistently watching 15-20 different shows each season. It was exhausting for me, trying to really give each one a fair shot with my full attention was tough. After a while, something came up (I think I graduated college or something) and I lost track of current anime for about a year. What I learned from that was that I really don't need to make myself keep up with anything, because there are so many other things I can do to occupy my time and still feel great every day. Why push myself to experience every new thing when I know that I'll definitely have more fun rewatching Ping Pong the Animation again?
That's also why I've cut back on watching YouTube a lot lately, except for the channels that really matter to me, like yours. So I guess my advice for dealing with a backlog is "let it grow, just keep doing what makes you happy!"

July 10, 2020Hey, it's been a while my fellow Knack lover. Great video and sadly very relatable, I already have an even larger backlog only from September with Destiny 2 Forsaken coming out just days before Spiderman and thats only two weeks into this month ;/ feels bad man, whats a man gotta do to delay Knack 3 so I can finish all the other mediocre games in the meanwhile.

July 10, 2020Idk if its gaming fatigue as much as it is lack of true innovative material. Idk mayne.

July 10, 2020Well said Kurt, I suffer from gaming fatigue an awful lot and always feel the need to play most up to date game just to be socially accepted online / instagram / Twitter where people beg for likes for having the next best game out that day / week. But financially I can’t do it, or have all the free time to game as much as I can.

July 10, 2020Gaming fatigue is totally a thing! There are times where I just cant keep up and it gets me to a point where I don't want to play anything

July 10, 2020I love your content, my favorite was your house/stuff tour. Although, I have yet to see a video from you that talks about fortnite… I assume you have at least heard of it and I am curious on your thoughts about the game 😛

July 10, 2020I actually have some game fatigue, most of all since I bought the Switch. But luckily I dont have enough money to afford everything, so it depends on the time of the year that I have money.
Cause when u have it and see those little discounts on the eshop or steam… definately you will buy some shit. And probably you won’t play it! I think thats in the border of illness.
And all of this reminds me… I still haven’t bought Skyrim, everytime I see you XD damn! Game fatigue again!
Hope everything is ok. Keep up with the good work, I really like ur videos man. Greetings from Spain 😉

July 10, 2020Hey Kurt, have you played Horizon Zero Dawn?

July 10, 2020I get to consistent points in my life where I turn on my computer, look at the login screen for Windows, and then hit Shut Down. After which I sit and do nothing because I know how to do nothing else.
