Here is another forgotten camera system that you can find very cheap on the used market. It is perfect for vloggers but can certainly be used for other types of photography as well. The small form factor makes it easy to always have with you.

I'm coming back to this video cause I just pulled the NX Mini out of the closet in mid 2020. I'm surprised how ahead of this time the NX Mini is. The tripod mount is dead center on the lens. The lens is made of metal. The top bar of the body is metal. The touch menu implementation is quite good. Menus are easy to understand and navigate. Display quality is still good for 2020. The side loading SD slot and battery is genius so you never have to take it out of a tripod. And it charges from USB power which a lot of cameras didn't do back then. Even the buttons on the back are tactile and responsive.
Back in 2014 when this launched. Not a lot of cameras had touchscreens. Or flip screens. Or touch autofocus. This came with it and implemented well. Face AF was there too. The camera would even automatically turn on if you flip the screen.
A lot of cameras have these features today, but not all of them still. The few things that have improved with newer cameras though are: 4K video, autofocus speed, and low light performance. Which is somewhat expected.
Now I kinda wish I could find one of those 17mm f1.8 lenses…
I'd love to see you do a review of the NX500!!!
did you use any filter on those pictures you showed ? please answer

Hey I'm from India
I need one camera so Samsung nx mini is good or not
Are there adapters for older lenese?
Even if this camera is no longer in production and has gone obsolete, it’s market value literally has not dropped after all these years they are still between 300-500 on eBay! I really enjoyed mine and the sound quality was fantastic on video mode but terrible in low light, however that can be fixed with a good ring or fill light.
Price….
What's the point of a prime lens like that 9mm f/3.5 which:
1) needs to extend first like a zoom lens before you can shoot
2) has a small aperture and this aperture overlaps the kit zoom lens'
The only reasons I can think of for getting this prime is that it extends automatically instead of needing a manual twist, and it stows flat when not in use.
Just how sharp is the 17mm f1.8? I'm a bit interested in it as a pocketable companion camera for a Ricoh GR III, but only if the image quality and lens sharpness are close enough to hold their own.
I had an NX300 and absolutely loved it. I was devastated when Samsung stopped developing cameras so I went to Sony.
Have you ever gotten this Camera to connect with a Iphone XR ?
Nice vdo Sir explained very well pls can you give away it Sir 🙏🙏
I love your cheap camera reviews. I also a fan of special camera systems like the foveon systems. Thanks for your reviews. 😉
1 inch sensors are outdated now
I've had this camera for half a year and here's what I have to add to this review:
1)9mm lens doesn't have IS, a filter thread and a lens cap
2) JPEGs just plain suck, all the details are eaten by noise reduction which is always on even if it says off
3) ISO over 800 is very grainy
4) Camera has a touchscreen as only control, no wheels or extra buttons
5) It's really small with 9mm lens, not so small with a 9-27 zoom or 17mm prime
6) 17mm prime is great
7) it comes with licensed copy of Lightroom
Hmm Nikon 1 or Samsung Mini? Both have 1 inch sensors and a few lenses.
Did It have a external mic port?
I love it
Have you used the rx100 or similar? How are these so much better?
That looks super cute and nice and small! Too bad it was discontinued.
This channel is seriously underrated.
Samsung cameras are either great or too quirky. Though sad to see Samsung exit the market. Never knew about the cine lens adaptor!
Great video…. Is it still a good idea to buy a Samsung NX Mini since Samsung drop the digital camera business and making Phone only?
I have one of these! But only have the 9mm (24.3mm equivalent) Its pretty nice and design seems futuristic (except for the low res display). Its the thinnest camera that has a 1" sensor with a flip screen + the 9mm pancake and I bought it for that pocketable novelty. This is the only 1" sensor camera with a lens that I can really slip into jeans pockets. And the 9mm doesn't have a lens cap to bulk it up even more.
Still shoots nicely, no IS on the 9mm lens but that's what warp stabilization is for. Awesome photos BTW!
Not the smallest.
👍
The Fuji XF1 and the Fuji X20 also had small sensors but they produced a much better outcome in my opinion. Actually the X20 is the reason why I ended up switching from Canon to Fuji. Anyway thanks for the review!
How cost this camera
How do you configure it to RAW? Mine only takes JPG pictures
For under $70 pretty good deal
Isn't my smartphone camera mirrorless?
Did the NX Mini 4k ever actually get released? I read it did in small quantities but Ive never seen any for sale anywhere…
I took 10 digital compact cameras from 2001 to 2005 that range from 5 to 7 megapixels and all of them were capable of producing great images, and some won blind tests against a dslr with good glass. It’s all in the photographer and their content.
That's why it's called point and shoot camaras
@Mattias Burlng Do you think it worth to buy 17mm for around $200 now? It was original price at B&H. I only have a kit zoom (9-27) right now. I bought this kit (camera + lens) for $200 total brand new few years ago.
